Norwich City manager Daniel Farke has admitted to The Pink Un that the last few minutes of their home clash with Millwall were “emotional”.

The Canaries found themselves 3-2 down to the Lions in injury time, before strikes from Jordan Rhodes and Teemu Pukki sealed City’s fifth league win in a row in the most extraordinary fashion.

Daniel Farke, whose Norwich side now sit at the top of the Championship table by two points, spoke of his pride post-match, after the Canaries showed so much fight and a never-say-die attitude against Neil Harris’ Millwall.

“I can only praise the lads and tell you how proud I am of this group - I am a pretty happy man this evening,” Farke said.

“Someone told me, I forgot it, that I was on the pitch and doing a sliding tackle - I hope it wasn’t a dive and that no-one has this scene on the camera!”, he added.

“The last minutes were so emotional and to turn this game after being 3-2 down after 86 minutes is unbelievable”.

Norwich now go into the international break extremely confident of maintaining their position at the top of the table, before they get back into league action with a trip to Swansea in a fortnight.

The Verdict

What an afternoon at Carrow Road - keeping up to date with the live scores was breathtaking and it showed that Norwich are not ready to let go of their position at the top of the table.

Farke will want to iron out their defensive errors but, for now, he can reflect on what was a frenetic Saturday afternoon.
