Norwich certainly seem to have things going their way this season, and they had Teemu Pukki to thank at the weekend as he netted an injury-time winner against Bolton to see the Canaries retain top spot.

Pukki's winner sparked jubilant scenes at Carrow Road and many supporters will be dreaming of a return to the Premier League after struggling to kick on in recent seasons.

Norwich boss Daniel Farke described the spirt and attitude of his players as 'not normal' as they fought back after throwing away a two goal lead earlier in the game.

"Normally, you can't win such a game. You (sometimes) have to be happy after this story of the game and go away with one point," Farke admitted in an interview with the club's official website.

"But again, to have a response is brilliant. Big compliments to the spirit, attitude and mentality of the lads. It's not normal."

The 42-year-old was full of praise for his team and hailed the win as 'crazy' despite Bolton having all of the momentum towards the closing stages of the game, after netting an equaliser two minutes from time:

"They had all the momentum in that moment, but to find a way to win in this way is crazy. We can't praise the lads enough today."

Norwich travel to Bristol City to face Lee Johnson's side next weekend, where they will be looking to strengthen their grip on an automatic promotion place heading towards the New Year.

The Verdict

Norwich are certainly the surprise package this season in the Championship.

Not even the most optimistic of Canaries supporters could have predicted that Daniel Farke's side would be sat top of the table heading towards Christmas.

It's a credit to the fantastic job he has done at Carrow Road since taking charge of a team that had previously struggled to kick on up the table.
