Daniel Farke has lamented Norwich's inability to convert draws into wins.

Norwich have found themselves in mid-table mediocrity for the majority of the season with relegation not a serious worry, and the play-offs being an optimistic wish for the supporters.

The Canaries are currently in 14th place with 48 points from 35 games.

Ten points separate them from the play-offs while they have a comfortable 18 point gap on the relegation places.

Their main issue has been the inability to convert draws into wins even though they are one of the best sides to watch in the division.

They have drawn their last five games and have a total of 12 draws all season.

The recent performance against Wolves sums up their season because they came from 2-0 down to draw away from home, which is no mean feat against the league leaders.

Wolves were the second best team in that match, but Norwich couldn't convert their dominance into a win.

In his pre-match press conference for the Hull City game, Farke had this to say about his team's issues:

Naturally he sees goalscoring as the key area that they need to improve in, and he will be hoping that they show this in their next game against relegation threatened Hull City.

The Verdict

Farke has had a good first season at the club, but it is reasonably acceptable for the fans and the board to expect them to be higher in the table.

They are unlikely to challenge for the play-offs, so they have to start prioritising next season. The main task for Farke next season is ensuring that the exciting style he has brought brings results because aesthetics will only get him so far.
