Norwich City lost their first league game since August when they fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Derby on Saturday and face another tough encounter tomorrow.

Wolves are the visitors, themselves coming off the back of a weekend defeat, but will still provide Daniel Farke's men with a stern test.

Speaking to the club's media ahead of the game, the German manager was full of praise for the side Nuno Espirito Santo has created, but stressed he believes the Canaries can win. “Wolves have high-quality, experienced players. It's a big task, but we will be greedy to win and fight for the points.” Defeat at QPR was only Wolves' third of the season and it has pushed the West Midlands side off the top ahead of the game at Carrow Road.

Farke also conceded that the Yellows may struggle to dominate the ball given the quality that the opposition have. “It could be a game where you have to accept Wolves will have a lot of possession. But we want to bring our own game on the pitch.” Eighth-placed Norwich know a victory could move them into the play-offs, whilst it would also bring then to within four points off Wolves, who currently sit second.

The Verdict

Norwich boss Daniel Farke will still be confident of beating Wolves tomorrow, even if he has talked them up ahead of the game.

Player for player, Wolves are probably the best team in the league, but Norwich have a very good squad themselves and will be confident at home.

Both sides are looking to bounce back after disappointing weekends and it should be a very close encounter.
