Daniel Farke has confirmed that Graham Dorrans is close to completing a move from Norwich City to Rangers, reports the Eastern Daily Press.

Reports earlier this week indicated the Scottish Premiership outfit had agreed a £1.3m deal with Norwich, for the 30-year old midfielder to complete a switch to Ibrox.

Farke has now confirmed that a deal is close, with Dorrans currently in Scotland finalising a move, the German said: “Right now for sure Graham left us on Tuesday. I don’t think there has been an official announcement but things have developed and I expect he will leave us.

“It is not a secret that he has had a medical in Scotland and it could be pretty soon there is an announcement on a new club.”

Dorrans made 23 Championship appearances last season and scored six goals, but the Scotsman’s time at Carrow Road looks certain to come to an end this summer, after two-and-a-half years with the Canaries.

Jonny Howson looks set to be another midfielder leaving Carrow Road this summer, with Middlesbrough keen to take the 29-year old to the north-east.

Boro and Norwich are reportedly working on a £5m deal for Howson, who has been with the Canaries since 2012.

Farke is just months into his role as Norwich’s head-coach, and the German has been active in the transfer window by brining his own players to Carrow Road, with five signings made already.

Harrison Reed is Norwich’s latest recruit, with the young midfielder joining on a season-long loan from Southampton.
