Daniel James has posted an update on social media, after Swansea City confirmed that they have agreed terms for the winger to join Manchester United.

The 21-year-old is set to become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first signing as Manchester United manager, after agreeing personal terms with the Old Trafford club and successfully passing his medical.

The winger was one of the standout players for Swansea last season and also made his breakthrough on the international stage for Wales.

James is part of Ryan Giggs' squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Croatia and Hungry, but he was allowed time away from preparations to undergo his medical at Old Trafford.

The player posted this photo from a Wales training session on his personal Twitter feed, adding a message that he is looking forward to the upcoming qualifiers.

Swansea and Manchester United have both confirmed that they have been able to agree terms for James to move to Old Trafford, although the move will not become official until FIFA's international transfer window opens next week.

More details about the move are expected to be revealed then, although BBC Sport reported earlier this week that the deal for the player is worth around £18million including add-ons.

James has made two appearances for Wales and scored his first goal for his country in the 1-0 win over Slovakia in March.

The Verdict

James is an exciting young player and could be a great signing for Manchester United, if he is given a proper chance in the first-team at Old Trafford next season.

Giggs has insisted that James will not be distracted by his move to Old Trafford, as Wales prepare to take on Croatia on Saturday and the player certainly seems focused, judging by his latest social media update.
