Bristol City will be hoping to put together a positive run of results when competitive action gets back underway in the Championship.

Lee Johnson's side are winless in their last five matches, and will know that results simply have to improve at the earliest of opportunities if they're to stand a chance of finishing inside the play-off places.

The Robins are currently sat seventh in the second tier standings, and are just one point adrift of sixth-placed Preston North End with nine matches remaining in this year's campaign.

However, their push for a top-six finish was called to an abrupt halt due to off-the-field events, with no scheduled return date for competitive action being set by the relevant authorities as of yet.

But Championship clubs have recently started to return to return to training ahead of the conclusion of this season.

One player that has been a regular in Johnson's team for Bristol City this season is goalkeeper Daniel Bentley, who has made 37 appearances in total this term.

The Verdict:

He'll have a key role to play in Bristol City's push for promotion into the Premier League.

They've been on a poor run of form recently, so the break from competitive action could be classed as somewhat of a blessing in disguise for Lee Johnson's side.

Bentley has been impressive in this year's campaign with the Robins though, and if they can find some much-needed consistency in their positive results, then they'll have a real chance of finishing the season inside the top-six in the Championship.
