Dagenham & Redbridge’s relegation from Sky Bet League Two, and the Football League, was confirmed on Saturday following a 3-2 defeat to play-off chasing Leyton Orient.

Dagenham and Redbridge

Its been a disastrous campaign for John Still’s side as they won just six games and only collected another ten draws, meaning they have lost twenty-six games, more than any other side in the Football League this season.

The Daggers have looked doomed for a while now but their latest defeat finally confirmed that they will be playing in the Vanarama National League next season.

Six defeats in their last seven league games just made things worse for Dagenham fans and they will hope that they can bounce back at the first attempt.

Only York City, who themselves could have their relegation confirmed by Tuesday, and Morecambe have conceded more goals that the 75 that they have let in and ultimately their lack of goals, just 39 in 42 games, has cost them as well.

As previously mentioned, the final relegation spot in League Two could be decided on Tuesday when they host Portsmouth at Bootham Crescent while Newport, who sit eleven points above the bottom two, face second-placed Oxford United.
