Leeds United have had a tremendous first half of the Championship season, sitting top of the table going into 2019.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are two points ahead of second-placed Norwich City and four ahead of third-placed Sheffield United, giving them a real chance of winning promotion to the Premier League.

But with the January transfer window now in full swing, many fans will be hoping to see some new signings with Bielsa himself admitting he wants a new winger and a new goalkeeper to replace Jamal Blackman and Samu Saiz.

He revealed his desire for new recruits in his pre-match press conference ahead of their FA Cup third-round clash with Queens Park Rangers, but slipped in another sentence that will not make fans very happy.

The Argentinian said that he still has faith in his side to 'finish the Championship' with his current side.

Whilst he probably meant 'finish as Champions' it was not a comment that went down well with the Leeds faithful.
