Charlton manager Lee Bowyer has admitted he will not be able to name a full substitutes' bench ahead of his side's clash with Cardiff City on the weekend.

The Addicks' boss has seen his options limited this term due to a host of injury problems, and it now seems the current state of the squad will prevent him from naming a full match-day squad against the Bluebirds.

The likes of Jonny Williams, Lyle Taylor and Sam Field have all been missing from the side in recent weeks, and the absence of so many high-profile players has seen the Addicks suffer a dip in form following back-to-back defeats to Preston and Millwall.

Speaking to South London Press reporter Richard Cawley, Bowyer has now conceded that he is desperately short on options ahead of their clash with Cardiff, while he is unwilling to name younger players on the bench to make up the numbers.
