Crystal Palace are a considering a late swoop for Queens Park Rangers winger Bright Osayi-Samuel, according to reports from West London Sport.

Osayi-Samuel's future at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium remains uncertain, after what was an excellent individual campaign for the winger.

The 22-year-old scored six goals and registered nine assists for the R's in 2019/20, but now looks set to leave West London with only a year remaining on his contract.

The ultimate QPR end of season quiz – Can you get 14/14?

Osayi-Samuel is said to be mulling over a move to Club Brugge, who are believed to have had a £4.7m offer accepted for the player.

But West London Sport now claim that Palace are considering a move for Osayi-Samuel, and they could potentially match Brugge's offer for the wide-man.

Palace are also said to be keen on another QPR talisman in Eberechi Eze, who is also out of contract next summer.

The Verdict

This could be a rather dramatic turn of events, as it looked as if Osayi-Samuel was set for a move to Belgium.

A move to Brugge could be good for him as they tend to qualify for the Champions League year in, year out, but a move to a big club like Palace would have its benefits too.

He wouldn't have to relocate too much, and Palace's high-paced style of play would really suit him as a player, and there could be a real opportunity for regular game time with Wilfried Zaha's future looking uncertain.

This could turn out to be an interesting transfer saga, for sure.
