Crystal Palace striker Fraizer Campbell doesn’t want to move on loan to the Championship, according to HITC.
The former Manchester United striker has been linked with a number of Championship clubs since the loan window reopened, most notably Wolves.
However, with Palace currently challenging at the top end of the Premier League as well as the Capital One Cup, Campbell thinks he will get the opportunity to force his way into Alan Pardew’s side.
He moved to Selhurst Park in 2014 but has struggled for goals and game time, scoring four in 20 games since his £900,000 move.
Palace have a number of options available to them up front including Connor Wickham, Patrick Bamford and Dwight Gayle but Campbell clearly feels that he can force his way into the side.
Campbell has seen his career somewhat stagnate of late and it is surprising to see him want to stay at Selhurst Park, as he is evidently lower down in the pecking order at the London club.
The 28-year-old is slowly reaching the latter stages of his career so he will surely be eager to be playing first team football week in week out.
Wolves and Hull fans…what do you make of the news? Would Campbell have been a good fit? Who do you turn to now? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
