Crystal Palace set to make £7m offer for Blackburn Rovers striker

Crystal Palace are set to offer £7 million to Blackburn Rovers for striker Jordan Rhodes, reports Shoot.co.uk.
Eagles manager Alan Pardew has made signing a striker a top priority this summer and is said to be a keen admirer of the 25-year-old Rhodes, who continues to be linked with a move away from Ewood Park.
Palace had a failed bid for Rhodes’ striker partner, Rudy Gestede, during the January transfer window and it now appears they’ve decided to go for the Scotland international instead.
Rovers rejected two bids from Hull City last summer, believed to be up to £8m, but the Lancashire club have since suffered financial difficulty and been placed under a transfer embargo by the Football League for breaching Financial Fair Play rules.
Rhodes hit 21 goals last season and in total has scored 74 times in 143 appearances in all competitions since his £8m move from Huddersfield Town in August 2013.
