Crystal Palace are still keen on Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker and look to hijack the defender's proposed move to Queens Park Rangers, reports the Croydon Advertiser

Palace boss Tony Pulis is an admirer of the former Tottenham defender, who only joined Cardiff last summer from Spurs for a fee believed to be around £8 million.

QPR want Caulker
Crystal Palace could hijack Caulker's proposed move to QPR

However, QPR remain the frontrunners to sign the defender as the Hoops boss Harry Redknapp is hoping to team up the 22-year-old with former Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand.

Bluebirds boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that the club have accepted a bid from QPR, believed to be £8m, but no deal has yet been signed.

Caulker has one cap for England and scored in a 4-2 defeat to Sweden.

He was also on standby for the World Cup squad but did not make the final 23-man squad.
