Crystal Palace lining up move for dynamic striker

The South London Press are reporting that Crystal Palace are hoping to make a deadline day swoop for Charlton youngster Ademola Lookman.

The young winger, who can also play as a striker, is one of the Football League’s hottest prospects, with a number of Premier League clubs reportedly chasing his signature.

The 18-year-old burst onto the scene last season as one of Charlton’s shining lights during a dim Championship campaign.

He has scored 6 goals in 29 appearances for the Addicks and has earned plenty of admirers with pacy, direct and skillful runs from midfield.

The England under-19 international has already made five youth international appearances and has been chased by Liverpool and Arsenal previously.

Lookman is available at about £4m and Crystal Palace might look to offer Sullay Kaikai’s services on loan in an attempt to push the deal through. Championship duo Brentford and Derby are also interested in loaning in Kaikai though.

Crystal Palace are hoping to tie up deals for Jack Wilshere and Ademola Lookman on deadline day.

Charlton fans – what do you think? Is £4m plus Kaikai on loan a good deal? How important is it that you keep your young stars?
