Crystal Palace are lining up Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Kortney Hause as a long-term replacement for Damien Delaney this summer, according to the Daily Mirror (via HITC Sport.)
The Eagles have suffered a collapse since the turn of the year, picking up just one league win and slipping to within touching distance of the drop zone.
However, with their safety all but secure now, attentions have turned towards plotting for next season it seems.
Manager Alan Pardew has been linked with a number of top Championship names as he bids to revitalise his at-times-stale squad ahead of next season.
Now, it is the turn of the 20-year old versatile defender to have reportedly attracted the glances of the South London club.
A former West Ham youngster, he moved to the Midlands in 2014 and emerged as one of the most promising young defenders in the league under the stewardship of Kenny Jackett.
Able to be deployed at either centre-back or full-back, his good form earned him a call up to Gareth Southgate’s England under-21 side.
Though injury has hampered his progress this term, Palace appear to be keen on bringing him back to the capital.
With Wolves almost perennially marooned in mid-table this season, the prospect of playing in the top tier, as well as potentially in Europe, could prove to be too much for Hause.
Wolves fans, would you hate to see Hause leave? Would it show a lack of ambition?
