Crystal Palace are keen on signing Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland, and could make a £15m move for the England man this summer.

That is, according to the Sun on Sunday, who report that Butland has caught the eye of Roy Hodgson as he seeks a new number one going into next term.

Butland has quietly gone about his business in the Championship this season for the Potters, who despite having a poor season on the whole, have seen Butland put in the usual level of consistent performance we have grown accustomed to seeing.

However, his quality means a Premier League move is bordering on inevitable, and with Stoke having no hope of going up this season it would seem, Butland's future appears to lie away from the Bet365 Stadium.

Palace have picked up of late and have seemingly secured their Premier League status with a 3-1 win at Burnley yesterday.

Stoke meanwhile picked up a crucial win over Nottingham Forest yesterday to ease the pressure on manager Nathan Jones, who has struggled to pick up consistent results since making the move to the club from Luton Town before Christmas.

Eddie Howe's Bournemouth are also credited with an interest in the England stopper.

The Verdict

Butland is Premier League quality so this comes as little surprise.

Palace would be a good fit too for Butland, a club where he would get regular game time and get himself back in international contention.
