According to The Guardian’s live transfer blog (11:44am) – Crystal Palace have had a bid in the region of £9 million accepted for Norwich winger Robbie Brady.
The Republic of Ireland winger has been highly sought after by Premier League clubs after an impressive start to the Championship season, in which he’s scored twice and been one of the most creative players in the division.
Despite strong interest from Burnley, it looks like Palace have won the race for his signature with manager Sam Allardyce desperate to add new faces with Palace facing a relegation battle.
The deal may depend on Townsend going to Newcastle or not but the race for the Irishman’s signature is certainly heating up.
It would surely be a big blow to Norwich who are currently struggling but good news comes in the shape of young winger Josh Murphy signing a new contract yesterday.
The Canaries face Birmingham City at St Andrew’s on Saturday in the Sky Bet Championship.
