Crystal Palace have entered the race for sought-after Brentford striker Scott Hogan, according to West London Sport.

The forward, who has been linked with a move away from Griffin Park all summer, is thought to now be on the radar of Sam Allardyce at Crystal Palace, who is looking to add striking options to his struggling team ahead of the transfer deadline on Tuesday evening.

West Ham have already had a bid rejected for Hogan but the two clubs are now thought to have agreed an initial fee of £9million for the striker, but no agreement has been made over the add-ons of the deal.

The Bees currently sit 15th in the Championship table and they face a tough home game against promotion-chasing Aston Villa at Griffin Park this weekend.

And after their 4-0 FA Cup defeat to Chelsea this weekend, Bees fans will want to ensure their team are focused on league matters, with or without their star striker.

Hogan has scored 14 goals this season for the Bees and he's been a crucial part of the success down at Griffin Park and it's thought Dean Smith is not willing to let his star striker leave on the cheap.
