Crystal Palace enter bidding war for Cardiff defender

Premier League side Crystal Palace have entered the race to sign Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker according to The People.
Palace are in the hunt for the 21-year old defender following his sides recent relegation from the Premier League and will have to battle against the likes of Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal for his signature.
It was thought that Liverpool were poised to wrap up a £6 million deal for Caulker. However, Arsenal bid £7 million for his services and now Palace have offered £8 million.
Caulker was an integral member of the Cardiff squad this past season during which he featured 39 times and scored five goals but he was unable to prevent his side from the drop.
He did though receive the plaudits from retired professionals and from managers from fellow English clubs and interest in him is high.
But despite this, it is believed that Palace do have a chance of signing the 22-year old.
It is though thought that Liverpool are still winning the race for his signature but no deal has been officially confirmed by either party.
Caulker experience World Cup heartache but nonetheless this summer will prove to be a decisive one for the Cardiff City defender.
