Ryan Fredericks is attracting interest from Crystal Palace ahead of the summer transfer window, according to an exclusive report by The Sun.

Fulham star Fredericks is on the radar of three Premier League clubs as they monitor his contract situation at Craven Cottage.

The 25-year-old has been one of the standout performers in the Championship this season, earning himself a place in both the PFA and the EFL Championship Team of the Year at right back.

But his contract at Fulham is due to expire at the end of the season and he is stalling on agreeing fresh terms as he waits to see if the Cottagers are promoted to the Premier League.

With one game remaining, Fulham trail Cardiff City by one point in the race for a top two spot.

If they fail to better Cardiff in the final game of the season, Fulham will have to attempt to win promotion via the play-offs.

And Crystal Palace are hoping that they can tempt Fredericks away from West London by offering him the chance to replace out-of-contract defender Joel Ward at Selhurst Park.

Palace face competition from long-term admirers West Ham United and Arsenal in the race to sign the former Tottenham Hotspur defender.

The Verdict

Fredericks has had a phenomenal season and he is one of the best defenders outside of the Premier League. He needs to be playing Premier League football next year to move his career forward and the ideal situation for him is to do that at Fulham. But if the Cottagers fail to win promotion, he will not be short of suitors in the top flight, especially as he will be a free agent.
