Crewe Alexandra has announced via its official website that the club has given former Everton youngster Femi Orenuga a trial.
The winger will be given the opportunity to impress during in the club’s preseason fixtures this week. Crewe take on Norton United on Friday and will face Nantwich town on Sunday.
21 year-old Orenuga started his career at Southend United and despite only making one FA Cup appearance he moved to Premier League side Everton for a nominal fee in 2009.
After three years at the club under David Moyes, Orenuga never made a first team appearance and was released in 2012.
Orenuga is currently a free agent after being released by Swedish side Vasby United earlier this summer. He has also made two appearances during a loan spell with Notts County.
