Sunderland have destiny in their own hands, with Jack Ross' side well in the hunt to make an immediate return to the Championship this season.

The Black Cats are currently sat 4th in the League One table, but can win promotion if they are to win their remaining three league games.

A number of players have stepped up to the mark for Sunderland this season as they challenge for promotion, with one midfielder in particular standing out throughout this year's promotion-chasing league campaign.

Luke O'Nien has made 34 league appearances in total for Jack Ross' side since he moved to the club from Wycombe Wanderers in the summer of 2018 and has been impressive in his makeshift role at right-back.

His impressive debut season with the club has been rewarded, as O'Nein picked up the Young Player of the Year award for the club on Tuesday evening.

But how did Sunderland fans react to his latest award?
