He did finally get to make his debut for Arsenal in the FA Cup. It was a replay against Leyton Orient  match the team won 5-0. After the game Wenger said that he expected Henderson to make his name in the Arsenal first team sooner rather the later.

Shortly after this appearance Henderson suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury which kept him sidelined for eight months. As part of his rehabilitation he was sent on loan to Coventry City, before being released by Arsenal at the end of 2012/13 season after failing to agree a new deal.

Henderson then signed for Hull City after impressing Steve Bruce in a couple of reserve matches. He made his debut in the Capital One Cup game against Huddersfield Town as s second half substitute.

He never appeared in the first team again. He joined Stevenage on loan towards the end of last season before being released by Hull City.
