Derby County will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Championship tomorrow when they face Huddersfield Town at Pride Park.

After securing three consecutive victories in all competitions, the Rams suffered a 3-2 defeat to Bristol City on Wednesday.

Whilst Derby were relatively impressive in an attacking sense during this particular clash, their defending at Ashton Gate left a lot to be desired.

With his side set to face the Terriers this weekend, it will be intriguing to see whether Phillip Cocu opts to make any significant changes to his starting eleven.

Currently 13th in the Championship standings, Derby could potentially close the gap between them and the play-off places to seven points by beating Huddersfield.

Here, we take a look at the Rams XI we expect to see against the Terriers...

Kelle Roos is set to start in goal for Derby due to the fact that Ben Hamer is ineligible to play against his parent-club.

The shot-stopper will be aiming to keep his eight clean-sheet of the season at Pride Park.

Whilst Max Lowe offered an attacking threat in the club's defeat to the Robins, he was far from convincing defensively and thus Cocu may opt to start Craig Forsyth at left-back.

Derby have won three of the last fixtures that the defender has started in all competitions.

Very much an ever-present in the heart of the Rams' defence, Matt Clarke should be in line to make his 24th appearance of the season on Saturday.

Having illustrated some real signs of promise in recent weeks, the 23-year-old will be determined to guide his side to victory over Huddersfield.

Although he has played at right-back for the majority of his career, Andre Wisdom has recently been utilised at centre-back by Cocu.

Set to line-up in this role against the Terriers, the former Liverpool man will be need to be on top-form in order to keep Karlan Grant quiet with the attacker in contention to make his return to action for Danny Cowley's side this weekend.

Whilst Jayden Bogle produced a number of stunning displays during the previous campaign for Derby under the guidance of then-manager Frank Lampard, he has struggled for consistency this season.

However, when you consider that he is blessed with an abundance of talent, it would be somewhat of a shock if he doesn't feature in tomorrow's fixture.

One of Derby's stand-out performers in recent months, Duane Holmes is expected to start in central midfield against Huddersfield.

Having already provided six direct goal contributions in all competitions for the Rams, it would not be at all surprising if he adds to this particular tally on Saturday.

A product of the Rams' youth system, Max Bird has been extremely impressive over the past two months for Cocu's side.

Set to feature in defensive midfield against the Terriers, the teenager will be tasked with providing cover for Derby's back-four.

Tom Lawrence is expected to be given the nod to feature on the left-hand side of midfield by Cocu.

When you consider that the winger has provided four direct goal contributions in his last six league appearances for the Rams, he may prove to be the difference this weekend.

Already a pivotal player for Derby, Wayne Rooney has produced a number of superb displays in central midfield in the Championship.

Set to feature in a more advanced role, the former England international will fancy his chances of adding to the three goals that he has scored this season in the club's clash with Huddersfield.

Although predominately a striker, Martyn Waghorn has been used on the right-hand side of midfield by Cocu for the majority of the 2019/20 campaign.

Having found the back of the net in his last three second-tier appearances, the 30-year-old could take his overall tally for the year to 12 on Saturday.

Since returning to Derby last summer following a loan spell at Hull City, Chris Martin has experienced somewhat of a renaissance under Cocu.

Expected to lead the line against the Terriers, the forward will be determined to guide the Rams to victory in-front of their own supporters by netting his ninth goal of the season.
