Leeds United are set to secure the services of winger Jack Harrison on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City as they step up recruitment ahead of the big kick off this weekend.

The 21-year old has previously spent a couple of seasons in the MLS with New York City, but joined Pep Guardiola's side this January.

Leeds fans, eager to see lots of comings and goings this week, have met the news with the usual mix of delight and acerbic wit, with his spell at Middlesbrough causing much discussion.

Along with Lewis Baker and the Patrick Bamford links, they've noted Bielsa seems intent on building a former Boro player's XI.

They've also noted that recent rumours linking Manchester City's Phil Foden with the club may have been wide of the mark, with some surprised it is Harrison and not the Young Sports Personality of the Year who has chosen Leeds United as his employers for a season.

Still, the move hasn't been met with any negativity, Harrison impressed in the MLS and is just the sort of young, exciting player Leeds fans will want to watch at Elland Road.
