Bolton Wanderers' supporters have expressed their satisfaction with their new signing.

The Championship side have completed a deal for Luke Murphy from Leeds United after his contract was terminated by mutual consent on Wednesday.

Twenty-four hours later, and the 28-year-old agreed a two-year deal at the Macron Stadium hoping to become a regular in the Wanderers line-up.

Manager Phil Parkinson had been in the market for a midfielder after the releasing of Karl Henry, Derik Osede, Jem Karacan and Darren Pratley at the end of the season.

Bolton moved quickly to snap up the former Crewe man to bolster their midfielder ahead of what looks to be a stormy season ahead for Wanderers.

Murphy made 41 appearances for Burton in all competitions during their relegations season and managed to score one goal.

He has vast experience in the second tier and will be hoping to play a part in the Wanderers' Championship curtain against West Brom this weekend.

And the Bolton fans are pleased with signing a player in a position that needed urgent attention.

Here is how the Trotters' fans reacted on Twitter to the news of Murphy’s arrival in Lancashire.
