Coventry City have today confirmed via the club’s official website that they have secured the services of ex-Peterborough United midfielder Danny Swanson on a two-year deal.
It was reported yesterday on Football League World that Swanson was undergoing a medical with the League One outfit, before the move was confirmed on Coventry’s website.
He spent the last two seasons at Peterborough under Darren Ferguson, playing 79 times and netting five goals for the Posh.
Coventry manager Steven Pressley said, ‘Danny is an exciting, technically gifted footballer who provides a real threat out wide and I’m delighted to get him in.’
‘We were not the only club looking to sign him so to get a deal done that brings him here is great news.’
‘He’s got great footballing intelligence, he has a great attitude and he’s hungry for success which makes him a perfect fit for us.’
The Sky Blues open up their 2014/15 League One campaign away at Bradford City on August 9.
