Coventry City will be looking to extend their current winning run in the Championship to four games when they take on Queens Park Rangers tomorrow.

Following a slow start to the season, the Sky Blues have recently managed to step up their performance levels and are now excelling under the guidance of manager Mark Robins.

As a result of their victory over Wigan Athletic earlier this week, Coventry moved up to 12th in the Championship standings and are now just five points adrift of the play-off places.

In contrast to the Sky Blues, QPR have experienced a dip in form at this level.

Since their triumph over the Latics in October, the R's have lost three of their last four league games and thus have lost ground on the likes of Burnley and Blackburn Rovers.

With the Championship set to pause for the start of the World Cup after this round of fixtures, both sides will be determined to head into the break on a positive note and thus it could turn out to be an enthralling affair at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Ahead of this fixture, pundit David Prutton has issued a score prediction.

In his latest Sky Sports Column, Prutton has revealed that he believes that Coventry will secure a 1-0 victory over QPR.

The Verdict

Whereas Coventry fans will be delighted if this prediction turns out to be correct, QPR's supporters will be desperate to see their side deliver a spirited performance following a disappointing run of results.

The Sky Blues will need to be wary of the threat that Ilias Chair and Chris Willock will pose in this fixture as these two players are both capable of producing a moment of magic in this division for the R's.

In order for Coventry to have the best chance of sealing victory, they will need Viktor Gyokeres to be firing on all cylinders.

The Sweden international scored a superb individual goal against Wigan earlier this week as he took his overall tally for the season to seven in this particular fixture.

By producing another impressive attacking display, Gyokeres could potentially help the Sky Blues claim all three points.
