The Coventry Telegraph is reporting that Derby County duo Farrend Rawson and Charles Vernam are set to join Coventry City on loan.
They expect that the double loan signing – both until the end of the season – will be completed shortly and the pair will join the Sky Blues for training this week.
Farrend Rawson has never played a senior match for Derby but has twice had loan spells with Rotherham United, so he has Championship experience to his name already.
The 20-year-old has also featured in all three of the Checkatrade Trophy matches for Derby under-23s this season.
Rawson is a 6’4” centre half who is expected to bring power and height to the Coventry back line.
Charles Vernam is described as a “quick and skillful” striker or attacking midfielder, who also played in all three Checkatrade Trophy games for the under-23 side.
The 20-year-old made his first team debut in the FA Cup win against West Brom this season.
Coventry fans – are these good signings? What can they add to the squad?
