Coventry City boss Mark Robins has revealed that on-loan Chelsea man Dujon Sterling should be linking back up with the Sky Blues shortly after injury.

Robins was speaking in this morning's press conference ahead of his side's clash with Burton Albion and the 19-year old was a key subject of conversation.

Sterling had been in excellent form for Robins' prior to picking up an injury following their 2-1 win against Doncaster Rovers three weeks ago.

He's now on the road to recovery, with the manager revealing: "Dujon is in the end stage of his rehab at Chelsea, he's been running and training and they keep in touch and hopefully he will be back early next week."

Sterling switched to the Ricoh Arena in the summer and after a slow start established himself as a key player on the right side of the defence.

His 16 outings have helped push last year's League Two play off winners to eighth in the current table, as they hunt a return to the Championship after several years in the doldrums.

The 1987 FA Cup winners face Burton Albion this weekend, relegated from the second-tier last season and currently 14th in the table.

The Verdict

Sterling has settled in at the Ricoh now and offers width as well as versatility. He's been used in an advanced midfield position as well as at full back and has shown quality and purpose on the ball.

He's going to be important for Robins if his side are serious about a play off spot, purely for the energy he provides on the flank.
