Coventry City have slapped a £5 million pound price tag on Callum O'Hare amid interest from Norwich City, as per Football Insider.

According to the Football Insider report, the attacking midfielder is on Dean Smith's radar going into the summer window and that Coventry will not stand in the 23-year-old's way if their asking price is met.

Former Aston Villa manager Dean Smith is said to be familiar with O'Hare from his time at the Aston Villa academy.

O'Hare has once again impressed for the Sky Blues this campaign, scoring five goals and registering seven assists in his 41 Sky Bet Championship appearances this season.

The 23-year-old was similarly impressive last campaign in 2020/21, when he scored three goals and registered eight assists in 46 Championship appearances.

The 23-year-old is contracted to Coventry City until the summer of 2024 after extending his contract with the club back in January.

The Verdict

With Todd Cantwell likely on his way out of the club following his loan spell with AFC Bournemouth, and the club in the bottom three of the Premier League at present, Norwich are clearly on the look out for an attacking midfielder that can excel in the Championship next campaign.

Callum O'Hare would fit that mould nicely and for five million pounds, could be a real steal for the Canaries.

O'Hare has more than proven his worth in the second-tier over the last two seasons and at 23, still has time to improve going forward.

With two years left on his contract come the summer, Coventry don't have to sell, but, if they want to cash in on the attacking midfielder, this summer is the best time to do so.
