The former Arsenal trainee joined the Sky Blues last summer but has established himself as the number 1 goalkeeper for Tony Mowbray’s side this season.

The 21-year old has played nine times this season and has kept five clean sheets, and he now had been linked with a move away from the club with Premier League sides Aston Villa and Stoke, as well as Championship sides Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest interested.

He has now signed a new deal to stay at the Ricoh Stadium until the summer of 2018 after breaking the record for the longest time without conceding for a goal for the club.

Coventry have had a solid start to the season and currently find themselves 4th in League One, just one point off top spot as they travel to Colchester United on Saturday.

Coventry fans…what do you make of the news? How important has Charles-Cook been for your side this summer? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
