Sky Bet League One side Coventry City are looking at Bolton striker Tom Eaves as they seek a replacement for Callum Wilson, who completed a move to Bournemouth last week, according to the Coventry Telegraph.
Wilson scored 21 league goals for the Sky Blues, who overcame a ten point deduction last season to finish 18th in League One.
However, with the uncertainty off the pitch under current owners SISU, Wilson was snapped up by the Championship club for a fee reported to be around £2.5m.
Coventry’s development director Steve Waggott has come out and said all the money from Wilson’s departure will be reinvested back into the playing side, and now Eaves is their top target.
The 22 year old has spent loan spells at Rotherham United and Shrewsbury Town, after making only one appearance for the Trotters in the cup last season, and Bolton may be tempted to cash in on the striker who they signed from Oldham for £1m four years ago.
