Coventry City could be set to move again after a turbulent decade, with the club entering early talks to ground share with Coventry Rugby Club at the Butts Park Arena, according to the Coventry Telegraph.

Talks, which have been confirmed by the club themselves, will be trying to secure a deal that expands the stadium to a reasonable size and ensures the club get vital non-match day revenue which they are not receiving at the Ricoh Arena.

The ground currently only holds 3,000, but it is estimated that it could be expanded to 15,000 should the Sky Blues move in, with the potential to rise up to 25,000 should success on the pitch follow.

This will certainly appeal to many Coventry fans, who miss the city-centre location of Highfield Road, and have become somewhat disillusioned with life at the Ricoh Arena.

Decisions are certainly a long way off being made yet, with the club having another tw0 years of playing at the Ricoh at least to fulfil, but the chairman of the rugby Jon Sharp indicated that this is a distinct possibility: "For the city of Coventry it makes sense. Economically for the football club and the rugby club it makes a huge amount of sense".
