Marcelo Bielsa’s policy of allowing his first-team players to play for Leeds United’s under-23s was always going to be a risk.

Leeds lost Patrick Bamford to an injury he picked up playing for the 23s, whilst today, Jamal Blackman was worryingly stretchered off whilst featuring for Carlos Corberan’s side.

Blackman has been second choice at Elland Road this season, with Bailey Peacock-Farrell ever-present in the Leeds goal.

However, his inconsistency has seen some supporters call for Blackman to be given a chance.

The Chelsea loanee impressed last season at Sheffield United, but after today, it seems Blackman could be set for a spell on the sidelines.

If that’s the case he will be joining the likes of Luke Ayling, Gaetano Berardi and Bamford on the sidelines, with Leeds’ treatment room overcrowded.

After the update on Blackman, here is a look at how Leeds’ supporters reacted…
