‘Couldn’t fault your effort’ – Plenty of West Brom fans react to player’s message

West Bromwich Albion have announced that defender Allan Nyom has signed for Leganes on a season-long loan.

In a statement on the West Bromwich Albion website, the club confirmed that the 30-year-old right back had put pen to paper on a one-year loan to the Madrid based Spanish side.

The Cameroon international tweeted his farewell to the Baggies fans, stating: “Good luck to my team-mates and the staff at West Brom for the rest of the season. To all the fans: I am one of you. I will be supporting the team every single game whilst I’m on loan in Spain, let’s get back to the Premier League! @WBA”.

The departure of Nyom means that Moore is now without a default right back in his squad, with versatile Craig Dawson likely to take over duties from this weekend.

Nyom signed for the Baggies back in 2016 from Premier League side Watford, and has gone on to make 69 first team appearances for the Albion in his two year spell at the Hawthorns.

West Brom have started the 2018/19 Championship campaign with one win, one draw and one loss, in a season where they were considered possible title contenders, with frustration levels growing rapidly amongst the Baggies faithful.

Here is how the West Brom fans reacted on Twitter.
