Jason Cummings could be joining Rangers permanently in the summer, according to The Scottish Sun.

The 22-year-old was sent out on loan by Aitor Karanka in January after being signed by Mark Warburton last summer. He made 14 league appearances for Forest, but struggled to make an impact with just one goal to his name.

He fared better for Rangers with two goals in 15 league games as well as seven goals in total. The Scottish league seems to suit him better because he was signed initially from Hibernian, where he excelled, and has found a place in the team at Rangers, although that could change with Steven Gerrard coming in.

Rangers would obviously be an enticing proposition for the youngster because Karanka doesn't seem to favour him at Forest and he could potentially play in European football with the Gers.
