Queens Park Rangers ended the Championship season in 18th position, after managing only two wins in their final 10 games of the season.

The season started under the tenure of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, but after a set of poor results the board acted and sacked Hasselbaink, and bought Holloway back to the club for a second spell as manager.

After what can only be described as a poor end to the season, Holloway will hoping after a pre-season training programme, which sees The R's jet of to Portugal, and a full transfer window that he can bring in his own players and implement his style on the side which will in turn help them progress next season.

One of QPR's biggest problems this season was scoring goals as they found the back of the net on just 52 occasions, which was some 33 goals short of Champions Newcastle United.

Holloway will want to address that issue in the summer window, by bringing in someone who will find the back of the net on a regular basis, and with Newcastle going up to the Premier League, Holloway could look to bring there striker Ivan Toney to the football club.

The young English frontman, has been in prolific form for Scunthorpe United and Shrewsbury Town this season where he was on loan, during his spells at both clubs he managed to  score 13 goals and provide 4 assists for his team mates.

After proving a success in League One, Toney may want to test himself at a higher level and with QPR needing a goal scorer he could be the perfect fit for the London outfit, and could also use the move to QPR as a statement to Rafa Benitez to show that he is capable of leading Newcastle's frontline in the future.

Another player that QPR should look to bring in over the summer is Chelsea's Ruben Loftus Cheek.

The midfielder has been knocking on the door of the first team for a while now, and whilst he has made appearances, he hasn't had a long run of games to gain momentum and cement his first team place.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte did say earlier on in the year that "he has the right characteristics to play as a striker because he has it all".

So Holloway could utilise Loftus-Cheek between the midfield and as a striker, but most importantly a loan move away from Stamford Bridge will get him minutes and also help aid QPR push up the Championship next season.
