The Steel City Derby takes place this weekend in what is easily the biggest game to take in of all the Championship fixtures over the coming days.
The fixture has been missing from the football season in recent times thanks to Sheffield United’s stay in League 1 but it is back now and it’s set up to be a memorable occasion.
Indeed, with both clubs starting decently this season there’s a sense that at least one could be in the play-offs come the end of the campaign and so it’s never too early to get one over your arch rivals.
And, looking at some of the stats on transfermarkt, you might suggest that it’s Wednesday with the advantage – particularly when you consider their hugely superior squad value.
Indeed, the Owls have a total value worth £56.23m whilst the Blades have a value of only £9.65m – suggesting that the Hillsborough outfit’s squad should have enough quality to win out.
Certainly, home fans will be hoping that that is the case this Sunday afternoon once the final whistle is blown whilst Blades fans will be eager to see that factor not come into play.
