Blackburn Rovers had a disastrous season as they found themselves relegated from the Championship.

The Lancashire outfit, went down on the final day of the season on goal difference, despite beating Brentford 3-1.

Rovers rallied under new manager Tony Mowbray, who replaced the outgoing Owen Coyle in February, and managed to go unbeaten in the final five games of the season, winning three and drawing two.

Blackburn struggled prior to Mowbray's arrival, as they only managed seven victories under Owen Coyle, finding themselves second bottom in the league, they were a club definitely struggling to find any sort of form to help them stave off relegation.

But on the back of the end of season results, put together with a full summer transfer window, Rovers and Mowbray will be looking to build a squad capable of bouncing straight back to the Championship, but know recruiting the correct players is going to be crucial in helping them bouncing straight back.

One player Blackburn should turn their attentions to this summer is Manchester City's young defender Tosin Adarbioyo.

The young centre half has been on the fringe of the first team at Manchester City in recent years, and will be looking to kick on and start trying to force himself into a more regular first team place in Pep Guardiola's starting eleven.

With some big names to keep out of the fold, Adarbioyo will be down the pecking order in terms of centre halves at the club, and may want to go out on loan to get some first team football and would be the perfect fit for Blackburn.

The defender possesses leadership qualities and was made Manchester City's U18s squad captain for the 2014/15 season and Adarbioyo was rewarded for his impressive form in the EDS squad, with a place on City's pre-season tour of China and Munich last summer.
