Fulham are facing an important summer transfer window and they will need to ensure that they keep hold of as many of their most crucial players as possible.

However, there have already been reports emerging about one or two of their key players potentially being of interest to other clubs this summer.

The latest one of those is defender Antonee Robinson. According to The Sun, the 23-year-old has now emerged as a target for Manchester City this summer as the Premier League champions view him as someone who could provide extra cover in the left-back position.

It is believed that Fulham would be set to place a £10million valuation on the defender this summer, and that is a fee that Manchester City would reportedly be willing to pay for the USA international.

With Manchester City now interested in a potential swoop for Robinson, we asked our FLW writers whether they felt it would be a good signing for the Premier League champions…

I do think that this may not be a bad move for all involved if it happens.

Robinson was reasonably solid in the Premier League last season despite Fulham's struggles, so he could be a decent option as a squad player for City, particularly if he is able to develop thanks to his experience working with the quality there is at The Etihad.

Indeed, you also feel that the financial power that City possesses means that they ought to be more than capable of affording whatever asking price Fulham might set, and that could be a useful source of funds for the Cottagers themselves to reinvest in the market.

Given the opportunity, it would also offer Robinson to continue not only playing in the Premier League, but to compete for trophies on both a domestic and European front, it could also be argued that this ought to be an appealing prospect for the American, meaning I could see this one happening if City do decide to make a move for the left-back.

I think he’d be a class signing and for me left back has been a bit of a problem position for Man City for quite some time now.

Benjamin Mendy is always plagued by injury problems and Oleksandr Zinchenko isn’t the best defensively,

I could see Robinson leaving as joining a club of that size doesn’t come around too often in a player’s career.

He could’ve got his big move to AC Milan but things didn’t fall into place, so it’s clear the larger clubs are interested in him.

This would be a smart addition by Guardiola and co.

You can see their logic behind this one.

City's current left-back options don't fill me with an awful lot of confidence to be honest. Benjamin Mendy is injury-prone, and Zinchenko is still very much learning his trade.

Robinson also is, though, and whilst he may be an exciting addition for the long-term, I'm not sure that he's ready for the here and now.

He was excellent for Wigan in the Championship and did okay in the Premier League with Fulham, but he has an awful long way to go before becoming a potential regular for City.
