Queen's Park Rangers confirmed the impressive signing of midfielder Josh Scowen from Barnsley last week, taking their number of central midfielders to seven.

Despite struggling last season, R's boss Ian Holloway has a number of talented central midfielders at his disposal with the likes of Luke Freeman, Jordan Cousins, Sean Goss and Ariel Borysiuk all fighting Scowen for a place in the centre of midfield next season.

Another man in the same boat is Australian international Massimo Luongo who is reportedly interesting Nottingham Forest, along with R's left back Jake Bidwell, according to Get West London.

Forest are lacking a central midfielder with some flair and energy and Luongo, who has just finished playing for his country in the Confederations Cup in Russia, could be the man to provide that.

Luongo is an important player for QPR after making 35 appearances last season and it is unlikely that Ian Holloway will be willing to let him leave the club.

But the East Midlands club may be willing to splash the cash in order to sign the 24-year-old, and the arrival of another central midfielder at Loftus Road may well increase the chances of them striking a deal.

Luongo would be a rather impressive coup by Forest with boss Mark Warburton and Director of Football Frank McParland so far targeting younger players in the market.

Nottingham Forest fans... Would Luongo be a good signing? Who else do you want the club to sign this summer? Do you need a creative midfielder?

QPR fans... Do you think Luongo could leave the club? Would you be disappointed to see him depart the club? Are you happy with the capture of Scowen?
