Cardiff City don’t appear to be falling away in the race for automatic promotion, with Neil Warnock’s side constantly providing a reminder that they are well in the race for automatic promotion in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Bluebirds ended October emphatically with a 3-1 victory over Ipswich Town, moving Warnock’s side back into the automatic promotion places heading into November. Cardiff are now facing another test of their promotion credentials on Saturday, with a clash against fourth placed, Bristol City, who are looking to make up ground on the top-two.

Here at FLW, we take a look at the Cardiff XI Warnock might turn to against Bristol, where we are not expecting to see any changes from the side that breezed past Ipswich on Tuesday evening.

Neil Etheridge should continue in goal, behind a defence of Lee Peltier, Bruno Manga, Sean Morrison and Callum Paterson, who all put in a steady shift against Ipswich. Ahead of them, Warnock tightened up, and we are expecting to see the midfield compact once again against Bristol, with Sol Bamba in a holding role.

Ahead of him, we are expecting to see Lee Tomlin make an appearance against his former club, alongside Joe Ralls, with Bamba’s presence offering the duo freedom. Junior Hoilett and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, who will play out wide, could once again be key to victory.

Omar Bogle will be Cardiff’s lone striker, with the 25-year-old once again deserving of a place in the starting XI.
