It was the perfect start to life as Sheffield Wednesday boss for Lee Bullen on Saturday as his side saw off Reading 3-1 at the Madejski Stadium.
Kadeem Harris gave the visitors the lead going into half-time and Sam Hutchinson crashed in a brilliant header to restore their lead just two minutes after Yakou Meite had restored parity for the Royals in the second half.
And deep into stoppage time Lucas Joao made the points safe, meaning Wednesday sit joint top of the second-tier table alongside Leeds United after one match.
Keiren Westwood will miss this weekend's clash with Barnsley at Hillsborough #swfc

However, the one blemis of the day came from goalkeeper Keiren Westwood.
The goalkeeper was given his marching orders ten minutes from time after bringing down Mo Barrow on the edge of the Owls’ box.
However, the club confirmed that he would be given just a one-match ban on Monday – and not the customary three for straight red cards, having only denied a clear goalscoring opportunity.
And, in the circumstances, it was a punishment that most Wednesday fans were happy to take…
Big miss but at least its only 1 and not 3
