A large weight has come off of the shoulders of those at QPR today with an agreement being reached to put their FFP dispute to bed.

This is a saga that has gone on for some time and relates back to when the R's were a Premier League side.

It's taken time to reach an agreement, though, but the club has finally found a resolution with the EFL that sees close to £42m being paid out.

Certainly, that is a significant sum of money but things could have been far worse and the mood amongst R's fans seems to be generally one of relief.

Most, then, can see that perhaps things could have gone seriously wrong for their club and though they are still going to have to shell out, they will start the season on an even footing.

At least, too, they can move on with this no longer hanging over them.
