Jordan Rhodes made an impressive debut for Norwich City last night, claiming two assists as they beat League Two Lincoln City 3-1 at Sincil Bank.

Rhodes came on after 45 minutes with the Canaries leading 1-0, but his impact was clearly evident as the Championship side upped their performance a gear in the second period.

Rhodes was making his first appearance for Norwich after securing a loan switch to Carrow Road from Sheffield Wednesday. His £10m move to Hillsborough turned into a nightmare and he's looking to resurrect his career with the Canaries.

As a lifelong Ipswich player, the move has already caused some controversy, stoking the fires ahead of the East Anglian derby matches this season.

That was of little consequence to the visit fans last night who saw a positive performance from their new player.

A selection of those fans took to Twitter to announce their delight, not only at Rhodes' performance, but also his willingness to remain behind and sign autographs long after the match had finished.

Here's a selection of the best responses.
