Plenty of Birmingham City fans have taken to social media to discuss the possibility of the Blues signing Watford striker Troy Deeney at the end of the season.

Deeney has been one of the standout players for Watford over the past few seasons, but has struggled to make an impact so far this campaign due to injury.

The striker started both of Watford's opening two Premier League games, but has been forced to miss the Hornets' last nine matches in the top flight after undergoing knee surgery in August.

In his absence, Watford have struggled so far this season and are currently bottom of the Premier League table after picking up just five points from their opening eleven matches.

This has caused some Blues fans on the Birmingham City Fanzone Facebook group to speculate as to whether the club should make a move to sign Deeney - who is originally from Birmingham - in the summer transfer window.

Birmingham have made an encouraging start to the new season in the Championship and manager Pep Clotet could be keen to boost his attacking options.
