Fulham's season will no doubt rest a lot on the business they do this summer as Scott Parker oversees a revamp of sorts at Craven Cottage.

A host of players are expected to leave the club following their relegation from the Premier League, and one of the biggest names who is looking likely to leave the club is striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The Daily Star reports today that the Serbian could well be on his way out of the club with a move to Real Betis ready and waiting.

However, the same report also claims that Scott Parker has already identified Middlesbrough striker Britt Assombalonga as a potential replacement for the big Serbian striker, who scored 11 goals as the Cottagers were relegated to back to the Championship.

Assombalonga has not quite justified his massive price tag since moving to the Riverside, and a move to Craven Cottage might well be the ideal scenario for him to really get his career firing.

But just how good a move for Assombalonga and Fulham would this be? We asked our writing team here at FootballLeagueWorld for their thoughts on the potential signing...

Jacob Potter

"He’d be worth the sizeable price tag.
"Fulham are likely need to need a new striker ahead of next season with Mitrovic likely to be heading for the exit door.
"Assombalonga knows the Championship well and would be deserving of a move to a club with a better chance of promotion, which Fulham certainly do.
"He’d be the missing piece in their promotion jigsaw."

Chris Gallagher

"This would be a very good signing for the relegated side.
"It's going to be hard for the Cottagers to keep Aleksandar Mitrovic, so they need to find someone who can score goals at this level.
"Assombalonga has shown over the years he can do that and in a Fulham side that should create a lot of chances he could easily hit over 20 if he stays fit."

Gary Hutchinson

“This would be a massive signing for Fulham.

“I think he was woefully under used at Boro and he proved when he does play, he scores.

“He’s such a livewire and has a natural energy that has to be focused in one direction.

“Pulis wasted him but, in the right team, he’s a top six striker.”
