The 25-year-old joined the Tractor Boys as a kid, progressing through the ranks and eventually forcing his way into the first-team under Mick McCarthy.
However, whilst injuries haven’t helped, Bishop struggled to establish himself as a regular under Paul Cook and it was decided over the summer that the player would be allowed to move.
And, despite links to Portsmouth and MK Dons, it’s Lincoln who are going to win the race for the midfielder according to the East Anglian Daily Times.
They state that a deal is at an advanced stage, with Bishop set to link up with Michael Appleton’s side ahead of the new campaign.

Doesn’t sit right with me at all this one! Could easily tear teams apart in this league with the right players around him and IF he can stay fit. Was one of the few players who – when he played – actually showed passion! #itfc https://t.co/U80CuCfhf8
